Pounamu Earrings | Hand-carved in Taranaki
Small taonga, worn close.
Each pair is hand-carved in New Plymouth, Taranaki — shaped by local hands from pounamu of Aotearoa. The stone carries the mauri of this whenua, with Taranaki Maunga watching over every piece.
About the earrings:
Lightweight pounamu, carved into forms that speak without words. Roimata for tears, love, and remembrance. Each one is unique — the grain and colour shift with every stone, so no two pairs are the same.
The kōrero:
Roimata means “tear drop”. It represents aroha, compassion, and the tears we shed for those we’ve lost and those we hold dear. Worn near the ears and voice, roimata earrings are a quiet reminder to love deeply, remember well, and speak from the heart. A piece for healers, for peacemakers, for the ones who hold everyone together.
