Hei Toki (Manaia design)

Hei means “to be worn around the neck”.

Toki/Adze Represents power, wisdom, strength, control, determination, focus and was often displayed by people of authority (māori elders)

A Manaia is a guardian, this spiritual piece is thought to protect the wearer from evil bringing balance and protection. It has the head of a bird, body of a man and tail of a fish representing the sky, earth and sea. Often times they can include three fingers representing birth, life and death
